Theme: Innovations in Social Work and Social Development: Uniting Communities Across the Globe for Sustainable Change

Hosted by the Rajagiri School of Social Work and Rajagiri College of Social Sciences in association with the International Consortium for Social Development, the 24th ICSD Biennial Conference celebrated both innovation in social development practice and ICSD’s Golden Jubilee.

The conference explored how social work and social development can respond to today’s most pressing global challenges, including poverty, conflict, climate change, displacement, political instability and human rights.

Emphasising the importance of collaboration across sectors and disciplines, delegates examined innovative approaches to policy, practice, research, technology and community development that can strengthen sustainable and inclusive social change.

The programme provided an international platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to share evidence-based solutions, reflect on emerging trends and foster partnerships that advance the wellbeing of individuals, families and communities. The conference also celebrated fifty years of ICSD’s contribution to promoting social development around the world.
