Theme: The Fifth Industrial Revolution Amidst Multifaceted Disruptions: Harnessing the Power of Social Development
Hosted by the College of Social Work and Community Development at the University of the Philippines Diliman, the 10th ICSD Asia-Pacific Biennial Conference explored how social development can respond to rapid technological change and complex global disruptions.
The conference brought together scholars and practitioners from across the Asia-Pacific region to examine the opportunities and challenges presented by the emerging Fifth Industrial Revolution. Discussions considered how social development can harness innovation while ensuring that technological progress remains inclusive, equitable and people-centred.
The conference proceedings document keynote presentations, plenary sessions, cultural exchanges and 21 parallel sessions featuring 71 research presentations, demonstrating the breadth and diversity of contemporary social development scholarship and practice across the region.
