Theme: “Multidisciplinary Education and Practice for Social Development and Social Good.”
The 20th ICSD Biennial International Symposium was hosted by the University of Zagreb under the theme “Multidisciplinary Education and Practice for Social Development and Social Good.” The conference brought together researchers, practitioners, educators and policymakers from 27 countries to exchange knowledge and strengthen international collaboration in social development.
The programme explored social and economic development, governance and leadership, social justice and human rights, environmental issues, international collaboration, and higher education for professional practice. Key speakers included Professor Ivan Svetlik, Ivana Milas Klarić, Professor Darja Zaviršek and Nino Žganec, whose plenary contributions addressed issues ranging from social inequality and children’s rights to xenophobia, human rights and social development.
The symposium continued ICSD’s longstanding tradition of promoting dialogue across disciplines and regions, providing a platform for research, innovative practice and multidisciplinary responses to complex global and local social challenges.
